This place is very special. So much that I travel many miles to visit at least twice a year. Unfortunately, my last three visits have been fruitless due to the place being closed. These days have been on two Fridays and a Thursday . Both days advertised as open. Great place and fabulous beer, but no good if closed. I shall no risk the long journey in future. So disappointed 😞

Quirky wee place with a good selection of beers and gins. We stopped by after a walk from Dunblane and stayed probably longer than we should have 😄. I'm looking forward to going back to the advertised pizza and live music.

Cozy place with a fire in the stove on a dreary and wet Friday - generous (with tasters) and friendly service, and exactly the authentic local Scottish pub experience we’ve been chasing. SKÅL from Denmark! 🍺

Google suggested this place as a cool craft beer place visit. It was spot on. A bit hidden away, but very friendly, lovely fire( starting to get cold) they brew their own, handout for tasting notes. They offered tasting before you buy (very CAMRA) Wow!, Great ambience, with a mix of different chairs and tables, cool artwork chatty staff, shirts and memorabilia to buy, great beer and gin. Music was really cool too. 60s to 80s Great discovery!

I enjoyed the beer but not the price. Had two lots of 3 x 1/3rd of a pint to sample different beers. So this was only 2 pints of five different beers. This cost £20 so at £10 a pint this must be the most expensive beer in the UK

Lovely, quaint and comfy pub, very good and unique drinks and friendly staff, however not the cheapest place to visit

Although the pub has a lot of character, both the pizza and beer were dreadful. It took a while to arrive - others who ordered after us got served before and we had to chase. I ordered focaccia with cheese and my friend ordered pizza with no cheese as he can't eat it. For some reason mine also came with no cheese though, which was annoying as we couldn't stick around any longer. It turned out a cheeseless focaccia also costs the same as a full pizza, which is a rip off as I basically ate plain bread. Pizzas were half the size of a normal pizza as well and the beer was insipid.

Great selection of beers and ciders brewed on the premises. Time spend here shall not be counted on the lifespan of men. Sorry haven't visited for some time, but had a great visit today. Like a good wine. It gets better with age.

This is a superb pub. Staff and clientele are friendly and interesting, pizza night is fun, there was first-rate folk music this evening and it was very atmospheric. Beers were varied and good, and the gins look very tempting.

Well, it’s a pity that such a nice place with good atmosphere and nice staff, has absolutlly terrible beer. we tried 3 beers from tap and all of them were sour. what i appreciate is that the Owner gave us botteled beer as compensation, but we came for tap one. Hope this get better since the place was really nice.

Poor service, mediocre beer in poor condition, absolutely filthy glassware (a dog hair on the outside of one!) and to top it all off four pints and a half came to £29.50.

What a gem! Dogs welcome, great pizzas and incredible beers and ales! My wife and I along with our little sausage dogs had a lovely time, the owner even sat down with us when I asked what he recommended for beers, truly someone who cares! Will most definitely be back and cannot wait to try the jazz band night every month!

I booked a table for my birthday and I was really looking forward to it. But when I arrived there with 7 people I was told there were no table for us. I showed the messages confirming the booking and the owner said he “didn’t know what to say, he must have messed up” and that he could do nothing. I pointed to a table emptied and he said it was booked for “another group”. It was very upsetting and it really ruined my day as we could not book any other place for my birthday at such short notice. No good apologies given either.

A warm cosy little micro brewery. The staff are friendly and there's often a real cosy fire to sit next to and enjoy one of their always changing selection of beers. Pints are a decent price, dogs are welcome and folk and chatty, it's a great hang out spot.

Came here for the brewery tour and tasting as a birthday gift, and the beer and cider are really great. The brewery is really tucked away off the main road but it's really a nice spot and it has a lot of character. The beer is barrel conditioned, if I'm remembering the term right, so it's not as carbonated as a typical beer. The red rye has been my favorite. The pizza is delicious, also vegan options, and we have to make it back there to try the green beer, a seasonal favorite.
